Final Idea
Final Music Video Idea and Main Plot
Final Music Video Idea and Main Plot
We have decide to change the Narrative of the Music video but keeping the idea of a shot revers shot cutting from the main narrative to the artist performing. The new idea is a chase scene of a main character running form a gang including many gang memebers. The chase will happen through a wide range of different locations shown by different shot types and angles. The costumes for this chase will be the gang members wearing hoodies were there face is unrecognisable. The chase will keep going back to the Artist who is filmed using a DJ deck and soon as the Music drops the chase scene will be intense .The music that i will have remixed will be fast passed and will go in sync to the video because the chase will be fast just like the music. In some of the shots when editing will be make it slow motion to add effect and others will be sped up.
To understand and identify who my target audience is for our music video I did a search on You Gov. data base to have an understanding an who my audience are. When I searched I got a profile of our target audience with there age, gender, likes and interests to give us an accurate account on what are audience is .I searched for The artist of the original song Bounce that I am remixing which is Calvin Harris Through the target profile we found out are target audience which was aged between 18-24.I also found out that the audience was mainly male and the top regions were London, Central Scotland and Normal Scotland. With this knowledge from the Target profile it allows me to put in features into our music video that would address and suit are target audience. Also my target audience for the people who listen and enjoy modern house music and people who would download and listen to our music video. But the video must be successful and the narrative of the video must suit the song ,so our video is remembered.I enjoy this genre of music also so this will help me judge and develop ideas to make our music video suit the codes and conventions on modern house music videos such as House Every weekend .
locations of filming
Locations
The main locations we have chosen to set our music video is around Amington in Tamworth which we will be filming around a house estate using the streets ,roads and main road which has a train track in the background .Also there is a farm were we are going to film using the fields and rivers and an old bridge which is over a rail way.The locations we have aimed for are every day routes and spots which have a lot of character and good background setting .I chose these setting because we felt the location suit are narrative of a journey through every day life . I will also use a house in the estate in a dark room to film the scene of the artist with the DJ deck and showing performance elements.

On Facebook we made a group chat to organise dates that all the cast could attend and with this information we were able to produce the dates for the production schedule.

1:Pre Production Techniques for the Creative Media Industries
I am producing a music video for my client DJ MOSSY that
will include a main narrative and storyline, which will be, followed by
performance techniques showed by different shots and transitions .The main
story of the video will be well suited to the song which is titled Runaway for
the narrative it will be a character running away from an situation and through
the hole of the video it will show the process of the character running away in
different locations and a variety of shots. The Narrative will have shot
reverse shots and transitions of DJ MOSSY mixing on his deck, which will come
in, and drops and different parts of the song.
The budget of my production will be £3000 this will fund the
cameras, actors, software and social media advertisement. The way I will
finance my project is I will charge my client my budget which I would want
paying before the making of the project and then the profits of the production
will go to my client and 15%of the profit will go to me .The reason for the
£3000 pounds to be paid up front is so I have enough money to fund the project.
The production and pre production equipment I will require
and will be used to make the production will be:
- · JVC camera
- · Sony HD hand held camera
- · Tripod
- · DJ deck
- · I phone 6 plus
- · Adobe Premier Pro
- · Apple Mac Monitor
I will also require a
trained actor because I will have some one reliable to rely on and I can get a
top performance for the narrative of the video .My client will also feature in
my video to promote him as a artist and to show performance elements. The
transport is already provided which will be my car, which will be used to
travel to film locations, and it also will feature in the music video. No
facility will have to be hired because the locations I will be using will be
natural environments and live setting. For my crew I will require an assistant
for editing the footage who will have a lot of experience using the software.
Before the process a risk assessment will be produced for
health and safety. Also I will make a pre production schedule so every thing is
organised and no time is wasted and so a deadline can be reached as quickly as possible.
Lastly as the song is a remix of an original song to avoid
copyright issues I will send an email to the creator of the song Runaway so
they can approve of the cover and give us the right if they charge for the use
of the song this will be added to the price that will be charged to my client
for the production of the music video. If i do not get the rights it would
